FAQs

What should I wear?

Pottery is a messy art, so come dressed in clothes you don’t mind getting dirty. We recommend comfortable, casual attire and closed-toe shoes. We’ll provide aprons, but it’s always good to be prepared!

How long are classes?

Each class typically lasts between 2 to 3 hours. This gives you plenty of time to get acquainted with the wheel, create your piece, and enjoy the process without feeling rushed.

How long before I can come back to paint my piece?

We will notify you via email once your piece is ready for pickup. Expect this notification within 3 weeks if you signed in.

Kiln Firing Time:
If your piece requires kiln firing, please allow up to 3 weeks for this process to be completed. This timeframe ensures that we can carefully manage the firing schedule, allowing each piece to dry properly before firing and ensuring the kiln operates efficiently.

Why Does It Take 3 Weeks?

1 Drying Time: Your piece needs to be thoroughly dried before it goes into the kiln to prevent cracking or exploding due to moisture.

2 Kiln Scheduling: We batch pieces together for efficient firing. This helps us maintain high quality and energy efficiency.

3 Multiple Firings: Some pieces require a bisque firing followed by a glaze firing, each taking time to complete.

Can I see my piece before it’s fired?

Unfortunately, we cannot show pieces before firing as they are very fragile and could easily break.

What if my piece doesn’t turn out as expected?

Pottery is an art form that takes practice. We offer a range of classes to help you improve your skills and create pieces you’ll love.

Disclaimer: Kilns can be unpredictable and accidents happen. Your items might break, chip, or explode. We offer a complimentary class for you to remake your item. DRIP does not offer refunds. Starting July 1, 2024 we will hold all items for 2 months after they come of of the kiln. We do not offer shipping.
